Associates learn marketable skills in product assembly, manufacturing, and distribution as part of a job training program. Employees learn from operational supervisors who function as job coaches and help associates develop skills and habits that prepare them for future employment opportunities. Supervisors also assist with career planning for associates.
Additionally, those who are willing and interested can work toward other qualifications, such as becoming forklift certified or obtaining certifications in Lean Six Sigma.
In addition to gaining skills in manufacturing and learning how to overcome employment barriers, associates at Deseret Manufacturing are eligible for other assistance. Full-time positions are eligible for medical benefits. Both full-time and part-time associates are eligible for help with career planning and tuition assistance.
